If your phone is at 20% by lunch, shuts off in the cold, or restarts when you open the camera, the battery is probably worn out. Batteries wear out with use, and a new one can make an older phone feel usable again. Bring it to Pueblo Computer Help, 2727 N Elizabeth St. Phone battery replacement is $99.99 plus parts. If we don’t fix it, you don’t pay.
Signs you need a new battery
- The battery drains fast even when you aren’t using the phone much.
- The phone shuts off at 15% or 30% instead of 0%.
- It only works while it’s plugged in.
- The phone gets hot while charging.
- The screen or back is bulging or lifting. That’s a swollen battery.
Swollen battery? Don’t wait
If the screen or back panel is being pushed up, stop charging the phone and bring it in. Don’t press on it, and don’t try to pry it open. A swollen lithium battery can be dangerous if it gets punctured.
Check your battery health
On an iPhone, go to Settings → Battery → Battery Health. On many Samsung phones, the Samsung Members app can run a battery check. If the numbers look bad, or the phone acts like it, a new battery usually fixes it.
What we do
We check the phone first. Sometimes the problem is the charging port or the software, not the battery, and we tell you. If it’s the battery, we quote the part for your model and replace it. Same-day when the part is in stock. If the part has to be ordered, we say so up front. On newer iPhones, iOS may show a message about the battery after it’s replaced; we tell you what to expect for your model before we start.
All of our work is warrantied and guaranteed.
