Before you bring it in

Try a different USB-C cable and a different port on the console. Reset the controller with the small reset hole on the back (a straightened paper clip works), then plug it in and press the PS button to pair it again. Update the controller from the PS5 settings if there’s an update waiting. If it’s still acting up after all that, it’s probably hardware.
