Joy-Con drift repair · warrantied and guaranteed

Your character walks on their own. The menu cursor slides down when nobody is touching it. The camera keeps turning in the middle of a game. That’s Joy-Con drift, and it’s one of the most common Nintendo Switch problems we see. Pueblo Computer Help fixes drifting Joy-Cons at 2727 N Elizabeth St. Call or text (719) 629-7837 for a quote. All of our work is warrantied and guaranteed, and if we don’t fix it, you don’t pay.

Signs your Joy-Con has drift

Try this first

Update the Switch, then go to System Settings, Controllers and Sensors, and run Calibrate Control Sticks. If the stick drifts again a few minutes after calibrating, recalibrating won’t fix it. The stick itself is worn or dirty inside, and it needs to be opened up.

Don’t spray cleaner or blow canned air into the stick hard. That can push dust deeper and make it worse.

What we do

We open the Joy-Con, check the stick and the ribbon cable, and tell you what we find and what it costs before we fix anything. Most of the time a drifting Joy-Con needs a new analog stick. We replace it, close the controller back up, and test it on a Switch before you pick it up. If a used part we already have in the shop does the job, it’s included.

Bring just the Joy-Cons, or the whole Switch if the console has problems too. A Switch that won’t charge, won’t dock, or won’t turn on is a different repair. See our Nintendo Switch repair page for that.

Fix it or buy new?

New Joy-Cons aren’t cheap, and a new pair can drift too after enough play. Fixing the pair you already have usually makes sense, especially if only one stick is bad. Call or text us with how many Joy-Cons and which sticks are drifting, and we’ll give you a price.
